Christine Sacane, LcSW
Licensed clinical Social Worker

Having received her Master of Social Work from Fordham University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Christine brings experience working with adolescents and young adults utilizing a strengths-based and person-centered approach in the treatment of eating disorders/disordered eating patterns, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and life stressors and change. She recognizes the importance of seeing the client in a holistic manner, incorporating a narrative approach to therapy. Christine integrates therapeutic modalities of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, exposure therapy and mindfulness techniques to assist clients in working towards their goals. Christine’s therapeutic experience includes work in a PHP/IOP eating disorder treatment center, outpatient mental health, and school systems.

Christine is passionate about the importance of family support systems in a client’s treatment, and also finds that warmth and connection with her clients is essential in establishing a safe, non-judgmental environment where healing can occur.  Christine believes in collaboratively working with clients to strengthen self-esteem, empowerment and interpersonal relationships as a path to healing.

Christine is currently accepting new clients at our downtown Westport campus, as well as virtually!
