Psychiatric services as part of my scope of practice include essential psychiatric care services:

  1. Initial screenings and assessments: Conduct mental health screenings and assessments to identify potential psychiatric concerns. Evaluate symptoms, mental health history, and psychosocial factors to determine appropriate interventions.

  2. Diagnosing and managing common mental health disorders: Trained to diagnose and manage mild to moderate mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and substance use disorders. They can prescribe and monitor medications when appropriate.

  3. Referrals and coordination of care: If a patient's mental health needs require specialized treatment or intensive interventions, referrals to a higher level of care can be initiated and coordinated. Can coordinate care and collaborate with these professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.

  4. Collaborative care: I collaborate with mental health professionals to address the mental health needs of my patients. Communicate and consult with psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists to develop appropriate treatment plans and facilitate holistic care.
